This took about 3 days straight to create, from the sketch I made of him to his completion ^^ I wanted to sew something, and had very little materials (two 12"x12" square inches of fur, several little scraps of purple and green I'd cut with intentions to make a quilt, and some green thread and stuffing) so I made this critter. ^^ I love him... I plan to make more of different colors soon, when/if I can figure out how to dye fur. I'm also going to make socks for him. ^^ I didn't have enough fur to make arms for him but I think he's rather cute without them! I may make some in the future for him, but I'll probably make them velcro on, cos like I said I think it gives him character being a fluffy little amputee! :3
Him and HARM are good friends. They both have a little collection of monster finger puppets. Kitty Creature likes to stuff these into his chest pouch to keep HARM from thieving them all for himself. (At least as well as one can stuff something into a chest pouch without any arms) OH, almost forgot to mention, he's about 22" tall: [link] |

You'd make a fortune taking commissions for customs of these. I'd give both my eyes to be able to have the problem-solving capacity to figure out what pattern-shapes to use to get feet to work.. let alone muzzles. My sewing supplies have sat and collected dust for a long time, and I hate wasting them when there are so many things I want that can be made with all of it.
Are you self-taught with this kind of thing, or did you have patterns/help of some kind? You're a god if you managed this all on your own with no pre-taught skills. INSPIRE ME. :<

It's not that hard actually, most everything you see here is just two identical pieces sewn together and turned inside-out through a tiny hole which is then sewn up... It's easy when there is fur covering up the stitches that have to be sewn on the outside edge of the material. Hope that makes sense
I'd imagine that if I ever make any more, they'll be for myself or otherwise sold for a lot, since they take up so much time, like ten times longer than a regular art commission
